Thick-skinned herbivore on wheels

Definitely NOT a rhino but another FDM print finished and painted:

This beauty was designed by KrisWall on thingiverse.com.

It prints in single pieces (hull, wheels, sides, hatch..) and it even comes modular. So you could add turret weapons or sensors. No supports neccessary, it can be painted right out of the printer. This APC really was a blast to print, build and paint! Again Bambu Labs P1S, 0,16mm layer height, black Elegoo PLA.

And even though the chassis is quite.. iconic – because of 40.000 reasons – there are some differences to make it look just different enough.

The paintjob was a quick and easy one: Basecoat black, then stippling technique with two shades of blue with a bit of purple mixed inside. The brighter shade was stippled more on top of the vehicle and around the edges. Then a sponge was used to stipple the edge with some black, then some metallic colour to show chipped of paint. Final step was a more or less heavy drybrush of this orange-red colour to put some mars dust on the APC. This drybrush was used on my Knights Brothers / Grimdark Future Grey Knights already and I really liked it so I put it here, too for the nice contrast.

Aaaaand finished! Can be used for all your 28mm sci-fi APC needs, may it be Grimdark Future or Xenos Rampant. Or 40k, if your fellow players allow non-GW models on the table. 😉
